paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines177 - : Nowadays, there are more than fifteen different systems that have appeared to tackle this task (Valenti, Neri, & Cucchiarelli, 2003). Although they are based on different techniques, all of them share a common core idea: a student's answer should receive a higher score when it is closer to a reference or to a group of references written by an expert in the topic or collected from other sources such as textbooks or Internet . It is important to notice that students can write the same idea in hundreds of different ways. Due to this paraphrasing problem, the automatic scores highly depend on the quality of these references.

paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines313 - : Team-building as a concept has appeared relatively recently in Romanian workplace culture. Events such as Christmas parties or going on trips with workmates were highly improbable twenty years ago. Still, both the concept and the events seem to have become popular and prove worthwhile activities in any organization. A core of written texts has emerged from the necessity of managing such activities: announcements, invitations, and programs .

paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines364 - : Following the GCRIAR, the United Nations Global Compact outlines the Ten Principles that ask companies ‘to embrace, support and enact, within their sphere of influence, a set of core values in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption’:

paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines401 - : Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe, from the theoretical and methodological framework of the systemic functional grammar, the lexico-grammatical realization of the congruent models used to linguistically construct the representation of experience. This involves the identification and characterization of the realizing configurations, according to range scales, axis, delicacy, continuum of the lexicogrammar and probability of occurrence. For the latter characterization, a micro-corpus of child speech, collected from spontaneous speech, is used as observation context, under the assumption that this is the context in which the most congruent forms of interaction appear. The results, which constitute part of a larger project (FONDECYT 1121082), are presented in each of the core functions of the structure of the clause as representation, that is, participants and process and reviewing, in this context, the relationship to each of the six models representing linguistic experience:

paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines500 - : Of the different modules that constitute FunGramKB, it is the Lexicon and the Grammaticon that we will be focusing on in this research study. We will be specifically revising one of the attributes in the core grammar component in the Lexicon which has to do with the inventory of argumental constructions in which verbs can take part: L1- constructions .^[63]^5 The notion of construction, which is directly linked to the Grammaticon module (where constructional schemata are stored in different Constructicon modules), needs to be clearly and unequivocally defined in FunGramKB, as Periñán-Pascual himself highlights: “A key issue in this module [Grammaticon] is the definition of ‘construction’” (Periñán-Pascual, 2013: 213).

6
paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines500 - : The image impression construction, illustrated in (12), will upgrade the location adjunct by adding it to the construction as a core argument (‘the shells’) (criterion (b)) with a direct object function and an Undergoer value, which implies the shift of the status of the original core argument (‘questions’) that is now realised as an oblique ‘with’ prepositional phrase, signalling it as a possible (though unrealised) candidate for Undergoer status. [92]Figure 4 shows the CLS and the COREL scheme for this construction:

7

8
paper corpusSignosTxtLongLines600 - : The application of the statistical chi square tool has offered interesting findings, and has helped corroborated that disciplinary issues lie at the core of differences in the way these devices are employed across the different sections of the disciplines under analysis . Regarding the pragmatic functions enacted, except for the presentation of goals and the organisation of discourse, the rest of the functions are deployed in ways which are statistically significant across sections and disciplines.
