Interestingly, the major number of these studies is devoted to the use of person deixis by politicians, as “the ambiguous use of pronominal deixis is especially relevant in political language” (Arroyo, 2000: 4). Mainly, their focus is on the role of first-person plural deictic pronouns (Petersoo, 2007).
