paper CH_corpusRLAtxt189 - : Prepositions represent an evident problem for children diagnosed with Specific Language Impairment (SLI), as they tend to elide prepositions or incorrectly use them in their oral production. This subject has been described in different languages, in Spanish it has not been studied in depth. In this context, the present work seeks to describe and analyze, qualitatively, the errors in the use of prepositions in Chilean children diagnosed with SLI. For this, oral narratives were analyzed produced by 38 children starting preschool between 5 and 5 and 11 month of age, and diagnosed with SLI. Narratives were elided through recounting and were phonetically transcribed. Thereafter, contexts where prepositions appeared were analyzed and it was determined if they matched with adequate use, elisions, or particle substitutions. Data indicate that there are three grammatical factors which seem to influence in the production of grammatical deviations in contributions that incorporate prepositions: (i )

paper UY_ALFALtxt104 - : Abstract: The main focus of this paper is to propose an approach to ditransitive constructions in Brazilian Portuguese (BP) with dynamic verbs of transfer and movement as well as creation verbs. In BP, the indirect objects (IOs) that accompany these verbs can be introduced by two distinct prepositions: ‘a’ and ‘para’ . Throughout this text, I will demonstrate that these prepositions have a lexical interpretation in BP. Therefore, differently from European Portuguese (EP), the Brazilian variety does not participate in the dative alternation (cf. Larson 1988, [33]Marantz 1993, [34]Pylkkänen 2002), as it does not have applicative heads in its argument structure. Thus, I assume that the ditransitive sentences in BP have a pP head as part of the internal structure of its prepositional phrase [35](cf. Svenonius 2003, [36]2007, [37]2010; [38]Marantz 2009, [39]2013; [40]Wood 2012).

paper VE_BoletindeLinguisticatxt112 - : As for the obligatory intervention of the definite article intervening between que and the majority of prepositions as opposed to its optionality, there is no satisfactory explanation in the literature at the moment. It is probable that a combination of factors are involved in this case, as has been often suggested. First, the syllabic nature of the preposition: bisyllabic prepositions, as well as prepositional expressions (locuciones preposicionales) reject the absence of the article before que, whereas the monosyllabic ones tend to accept it, although its presence is always more frequent (Brucart 1992: 118 ).
