paper corpusRLAtxt178 - : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of articulatory features on the perception the utterances in Spanish under noise conditions, that is, with a distortion generated in the frequency domain. For this purpose, a phonetically balanced corpus of 920 logatomos consonant-vocal-consonant (CVC) structure was used that a male speaker emitted, under conditions of white noise, to a group of 17 auditors in four sessions separated by a period of one week each. The answers were tabulated in an ad hoc Excel template and classified according to the response type in: omitted, confused and correct . Subsequently, the confused or omitted word was compared with the correct word. The results show that noise unequally affects the components of the CVC logatom structure, the consonant or vowel type of sound, and the type of sound with which each vowel and each particular consonant is confused.
